The 23rd edition of DCAPAFF showcased feature films, documentaries, and short programmes by AANHPI filmmakers across four days. Opening film Mixed and closing film The Accidental Getaway Driver headlined the programme. Awards were presented for Best Narrative, Best Documentary, Best Director, Best Performance, and Audience Choice.
2022
The 2022 APA Film Festival featured a diverse lineup of feature films, documentaries, and shorts created by AANHPI filmmakers over four days. The festival opened with the film "Blended Paths" and closed with "Unexpected Journey." Awards were given for Best Narrative, Best Documentary, Best Director, Best Performance, and Audience Choice.
2021
The 21st edition of DCAPAFF transitioned to a virtual format, featuring a diverse lineup of films exploring themes of identity, resilience, and community. Highlights included panel discussions with filmmakers and a spotlight on emerging AANHPI talent.
2020
Despite pandemic challenges, the 20th DCAPAFF successfully streamed a curated selection of narratives and documentaries celebrating AANHPI voices. Special recognition was given to films addressing social justice and cultural heritage.
