How to fest
The DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival runs from Thursday, July 16 to Sunday, July 19, 2026. This year’s festival is an all in-person event with no online component.
ALL WORKS PRESENTED IN THE FESTIVAL ARE UNRATED. AUDIENCE DISCRETION IS ADVISED.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled program. Seating will not be reserved for ticket holders who arrive after screentime. All programs are subject to change and/or cancellation without prior notice.

Tickets for all Friday, Saturday, and Sunday daytime screenings can be purchased online through the festival website. A limited number of tickets will be for purchase in person based on available seating.

Tickets for the OPENING NIGHT SHORTS DOCUMENTARY PROGRAM can be purchased online through the festival website. A limited number of tickets will be for purchase in person based on available seating.

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is a fully accessibility theater featuring wheelchair accessible, handicap-designated seating in every auditorium. Theaters are on three floors that are accessible by escalator or elevator.
transportation
Parking: The theater's development is conveniently located next to the Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood metro station. Guests can park in the Bryant Street underground garage and Alamo will validate up to 4 hours of parking. To have your garage parking validated, please provide your license plate number to our concierge desk before your show and within 30 minutes of entering the garage.
Metro: Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood (Red Line). The theater is a 7 minute walk from the station.
Bicycle parking: available rack parking along the side of the building. Ad hoc bicycle parking is also available in the parking garage.
AFI SILVER THEATER AND CULTURAL CENTER

Tickets for Closing Night are $20 and can be purchased on the AFI Silver site on the page for MOLOKA’I BOUND or in person at the box office.

Accessible parking can be found in the Wayne Avenue Garage and the Town Square Garage on Ellsworth. Both garages are located within a block of the theater. Drop off in front of the theater is also permitted. More information on parking options can be found here.

The AFI Silver Theatre offers a comfortable and accessible environment for visitors with disabilities to embrace the big screen and fully enjoy a one-of-a-kind film experience.
The theater features automatic doors to the Historic Lobby and Atrium (Café) entrances, as well as accessible restrooms. There are no steps to access the main part of the building.
Our closing night film, MOLOKA’I BOUND, will be screening in Silver II, a smaller theater with stadium seating which includes wheelchair-accessible seating and companion seats. Patrons enter the auditoriums on the first level where the accessible seats are located.
Hearing and Visual Accommodations - Assisted Listening Devices: AFI Silver can provide Assisted Listening Devices (ALDs) with volume control for every film* upon request. These devices may also be used for Descriptive Audio (DA/VI), if supported by the film. Supply is limited for all assistive devices, but we aim to accommodate everyone.
Our Closing Night screening of MOLOKA’I BOUND will be played with Open Captions.

Parking: located near several public parking garages. Both the Wayne Avenue Garage and the Town Square Garage offer FREE parking all day on weekends and holidays. The Wayne Avenue Garage is located on Wayne Avenue, between Georgia Avenue and Fenton Street. The Town Square Garage is located on Fenton Street, between Roeder Road and Ellsworth Drive. Metrobus: The Silver Spring Station is served by Metrobus routes C87, D40, D4X, D60, D6X, M20, M52, M54, M70, P30.

HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES
If you are not feeling well, please stay home! Of course we would love to have you watch films with us but your health and safety as well as the health and safety of the rest of our community is very important to us!
We encouraged you to wash and sanitize your hands frequently during their visit. Hand-sanitizing stations and washrooms are available in all of our screening venues.
Masks are not currently required in our venues but mask wearing is encouraged.
