We at the DC APA Film Festival acknowledge that this land, known in the present-day as Washington, DC, is the traditional territory of many communities, including the Piscataway and Nacotchtank peoples. We are thankful and humbled to share this place with them today.

The DC APA Film Festival represents indigenous people, displaced Indigenous people and other immigrant populations, and we hope to learn from both our blood and our place ancestors how to share and build community based on conscientious, informed, collective stewardship and reciprocity.
