Submission deadline has passed and we will be announcing the opening and closing night films soon.
Attention all directors, writers, producers, film students, and media/video artists!
We are officially accepting submissions for consideration in the 2009 DC APA Film Festival, Oct. 1-10, 2009. Films must be directed, produced, or principally acted by Asians or Asian Pacific Americans, even if the subject matter is not Asian. Non-Asian Pacific Americans may enter films if the subject matter is Asian Pacific American or Asian Diaspora related. Preference is given to films produced in North America or in other Countries (outside Asia) with significant Asian Diaspora populations.
Screenings takes place at venues in the Washington, DC area including Smithsonian Institution and Landmark’s E St Theater. The early deadline is April 18 and the regular deadline is May 9. Categories include but are not limited to short and feature narratives, short and feature documentaries, experimental, animation, and more.
