We’ve got some pretty cool merch at our screenings. Have you purchased one of our hipster-approved t-shirts yet? They come in purple, blue, brown, reddish/orange and teal/turqoise/cyan/light blue…okay, they’ve been called numerous colors and we’re still not quite sure what the official name is. All that we know is that the gals dig ‘em. They’re on sale for $10!

These tees are made by the Los Angeles based company American Apparel. Your humble blogger lived in Los Feliz for several years and is familiar with AA’s fine products. Their plain tees go for like $18 but ours sell for only $15. UPDATE: tees on sale for $10! Plus we have a killer design. Dudes, they look great when you wear them with a blazer.

(A Typical Scene: The green bags go pretty fast and our fans usually fight for the last one. At least this particular battle did not involve any mace being used).

We’re also selling bags, mugs, caps and tea in a cool can. Why should you buy our merch? Money earned means we can show our films at venues such as the E Street Cinema, the Freer Gallery, the Goethe Institut and the U.S. Navy Memorial Theatre. DC APA Film has to raise its own money since we receive no funding from any governmental entity. Our staff is 100 percent all volunteer. We do it because we want to promote the work of Asian Americans and also hope to inspire young Asian Americans to become filmmakers.

So when you buy our cool stuff, you’re helping us for our next film festival. Look for our merchandise at the venue lobby.

We originally wanted to sell Torero Bullfighter zebra-striped hats but went with these caps instead. Sigh. Big mistake. We would have easily sold thousands and thousands of those bullfighter hats.

Editor’s note: The blogger is a bit off his rocker. No need to e-mail him about it.

How can you not buy a shirt from these lovely ladies?
