Now Accepting Applications for the 2010 POV Youth Filmmaking Workshop
Asian Pacific American Film (APA Film) announces the 4th year of the P.O.V. Workshop, a youth filmmaking training program designed to empower and provide a voice to local Asian Pacific American youth by teaching them the art of movie-making. The P.O.V. Youth Filmmaker Workshop program consists of a series of workshops taking place over the course of six consecutive weekends, during which participants will learn the necessary skills and steps to create a short film from conception to completion.

The 2010 DC APA Film Festival is currently accepting films for our October 7-16, 2010 program. Films must be directed, produced, or principally acted by Asians or Asian Pacific Americans, even if the subject matter is not Asian. Non-Asian Pacific Americans may enter films if the subject matter is Asian Pacific American or Asian Diaspora related. Preference is given to films produced in North America or in other Countries (outside Asia) with significant Asian Diaspora populations.
Early deadline: April 10
Films submitted by the early deadline will receive a discount on submission fee and earlier consideration by the programming committee.
Regular deadline: May 8
Films must be submitted by the regular submission deadline in order to be considered by the programming committee.
