It’s not too late to become an official “Friend of the Festival” in honor of our 10th anniversary!
APA Film has operated as a not-for-profit, volunteer-staffed organization for the past 10 years and can only continue to do so with your support. We rely on ticket revenues, grants, sponsors, in-kind donations, and charitable contributions from film arts enthusiasts and advocates like you to plan and operate our 10-day long film festival every year.
As a volunteer-led organization, ALL of your donations go right back into the year-long process of bringing you the best and brightest filmmaking talent to our humble abode, the nation’s capital, where space is at a premium and where festivals are aplenty. Our staff, from the festival director, to the financial planner, to the web designers, receive NO monetary compensation for their work. For the past year, a team of 20-plus people just like you will have spent thousands of hours up until and through the end of the festival, screening hundreds of hours of films, negotiating with venues and filmmakers, designing marketing plans, even typing the words that you are reading here.
