APA FILM ANNOUNCES CLOSING PROGRAM FOR 2003 DC ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL

APA Film, a nonprofit organization that sponsors the annual DC Asian Pacific American (APA) Film Festival, will present a screening of Greg Pak's film Robot Stories as the closing film of the 2003 DC APA Film Festival. Robot Stories weaves together four stories about the relationships between human and machines in our technologically driven society.

Following the screening, director Greg Pak will be present for a discussion moderated by Franklin Odo, Director of the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Program.

The screening and discussion will take place on Saturday, October 18 at 3pm in the Carmichael Auditorium of the National Museum of American History, 14th St. and Constitution Ave. NW, Washington, D.C. The closing film will be preceded by a program beginning at 12 noon of four short films that explore the importance of family in the Asian Pacific American experience.

The screenings and discussion are free and open to the public.
