APA FILM ANNOUNCES OPENING FILM FOR 2003 DC ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL

APA Film, a nonprofit organization that sponsors the annual DC Asian Pacific American (APA) Film Festival, will present a screening of Sung H. Kim's "Book of Rules" as the opening film of the 2003 DC APA Film Festival (Oct. 9-18). Book of Rules is a feature length comedic drama centered on the relationship between three twenty-something Asian American housemates living in San Francisco. A reception will follow the screening.

The screening and reception will take place on October 9 at 8pm at the Ring Auditorium of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, 7th St. and Independence Ave. SW, Washington, D.C. The opening film will be preceeded by Steven Tsuchida's Sundance Online Film Festival selection "A Ninja Pays Half My Rent."

The screenings and reception are free and open to the public.
