	The Trouble With Romance Directed by Gene Rhee Running Time: 88 minutes Year: 2006 Narrative Fiction Languages(s): English Website: http://myspace.com/thetroublewithromance Behind closed doors on one floor of a Los Angeles hotel, various couples experience all sorts of relationship woes in this endearing romantic comedy told in four vignettes. A young woman converses with the hallucination of an ex-boyfriend in the bathroom of her hotel room while her lover waits on the other side; a couple hopes to spice up their sex life, and a man nervously awaits his first experience with a call girl. In the film's centerpiece vignette, starring Roger Fan and Emily Liu, disaster ensues when a clueless boyfriend invites his buddies over to his hotel room on what is supposed to be a special evening out with his girlfriend. Gene Rhee, director of the 2002 Sundance Film Festival hit, "The Quest for Length," proves a master of comedic range with this humorous and entertaining film depicting the ups and downs of love. As these couples rendezvous, each reveal a separate set of hopes and expectations during the night and each come away with more than they ever expected.
